Forensic Evaluation and Begging
From UO:PvE Wiki
Two social utility skills: investigate evidence or ask eligible NPCs for a small donation.
Development source reviewed on 29 October 2026. In-game availability is unverified.
Forensic Evaluation#
Use Forensic Evaluation on a corpse to attempt a 0–100 check. Successful examination can identify a human corpse’s killer and characters who disturbed it. On a lockpickable item, the source can report the recorded picker.
Examining a character uses a 40–100 check and can identify membership in the older NPC Thieves Guild. This is not an audit of all new Society memberships or every criminal act.
Begging#
Use Begging on a human-bodied NPC within 2 tiles. Players cannot be targeted for skill-based begging. The attempt reveals you and resolves after a short delay.
A successful donation uses one tenth of the NPC’s carried gold, capped at 10–14 gold depending on your fame. Negative karma can cause refusal, and receiving a donation can lower karma toward−3,000. NPCs without sufficient gold give nothing.
