Combat support: Anatomy, Tactics, Mining and Lumberjacking

From UO:PvE Wiki

Physical damage draws on several support stats; axes use Lumberjacking and mace weapons use Mining.

Support damage under the current rules#

These bonuses are added to the weapon’s base-damage calculation. They are not separate multipliers on the final damage you see after armor, resistances and other effects. The calculation uses current effective skill values.

SupportBase-damage bonusExtra at 100 or higher
Strength0.3% per stat point+5 percentage points
Anatomy0.5% per skill point+5 percentage points
Tactics0.625% per skill point+6.25 percentage points
Lumberjacking with axes0.2% per skill point+10 percentage points
Mining with mace melee weapons0.2% per skill point+10 percentage points

Mining and Lumberjacking examples#

An axe uses Lumberjacking. Other melee weapons whose combat skill is Mace Fighting use Mining. Only one of these harvest bonuses applies to a weapon.

Effective support skillDamage bonus

75.015%
99.919.98%
100.030%
120.034%

Why 100 matters#

Reaching 100.0 adds the threshold bonus immediately. For example, moving from 99.9 to 100.0 Mining raises this component from 19.98% to 30%. These figures use the Age of Shadows damage branch included in the configured Endless Journey rules.
