Paragon and ML minor artifacts#
The shared helper first caps creature fame at 32,000. Let F be that fame and L the credited player’s effective Luck. Define A = max(10, 100 × (0.83 − round(log10(round(F / 6000, 3) + 0.001), 3))). The award probability is 1 / (A × (100 − sqrt(L)) / 100). The result is compared directly with a uniform random value from 0 up to, but excluding, 1.
The Mondain’s Legacy helper delegates to the same chance formula. Eligibility and choice of reward branch are separate: the ML flag or actual paragon state must select that path. Each pool then chooses a random item from its own candidate list.
These source formulas are not a guarantee that a particular creature is spawned or that every contributor receives an independent roll. Effective Luck, the credited player and the shared killed-by rules matter.
Doom artifact award roll#
Let C be LootPack’s luck-chance integer for the highest-damage contributor who has looting rights. The helper derives C = trunc(luck^(1 / 1.8) × 100), including the applicable Honor perfection bonus; negative luck returns zero. The old 1,200 Luck clamp is disabled in the configured SE-or-later branch.
For DemonKnight (the Dark Father), the award threshold is 1500 + trunc(C / 5). Other bosses using this helper use 750 + trunc(C / 10). The threshold is compared with a random integer from 0 to 99,999, so divide it by 100,000 for the probability. At zero Luck these are 1.5% and 0.75% respectively.
The DemonKnight death hook also requires the creature not to be summoned and not to have NoKillAwards. Other boss call sites retain their own conditions. After a successful roll, one recipient is selected randomly from contributors with looting rights; it is not automatically the player whose Luck supplied C.
Doom item selection#
The current shared pool contains two rarity-10 entries with weight 5 each and 31 rarity-11 entries with weight 4 each, for total weight 134. After the artifact award succeeds, each rarity-10 candidate therefore has selection probability 5 / 134 and each rarity-11 candidate 4 / 134. These are conditional item-selection odds, not per-kill drop rates.
The artifact is placed in the recipient’s backpack when possible, otherwise their bank box. The creature reference pages list the applicable candidate pools and item links.
