Recipe effects#
Choose a tier in [Refinements, choose a learned trait, target an item in your backpack and review the confirmation. The same trait has a separate recipe at each tier.
| Trait | Attribute | Tier 1 | Tier 2 | Tier 3 |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Conservation | Lower Reagent Cost | +2 | +4 | +6 |
| Incantation | Spell Damage Increase | +1 | +2 | +3 |
| Honed Edge | Weapon Damage Increase | +3 | +6 | +9 |
| Deflection | Defence Chance Increase | +1 | +2 | +3 |
| Fortitude | Maximum Hits | +1 | +2 | +3 |
| Fortune | Luck | +10 | +20 | +30 |
Crafting requirements#
You must be a living eligible player, belong to the Crafters Guild and have learned the exact recipe. Blacksmithy uses the base skill value. Gold and the exact ingot type must be in your backpack.
| Requirement | Tier 1 | Tier 2 | Tier 3 |
|---|---|---|---|
| Base Blacksmithy | 60.0 | 80.0 | 100.0 |
| Ingots | 10 Cobalt | 20 Titanium | 30 Mithril |
| Gold | 500 | 1,000 | 1,500 |
| Maximum property score after refinement | 20 | 40 | 60 |
Eligible items and property room#
The item must be one movable, transferable, nonquest, non-artifact metal weapon, metal armour piece or shield in your backpack. Metal armour is restricted to plate, chainmail and ringmail; shields are separately allowed. Retired-school items are excluded. Honed Edge is weapon-only.
Existing magical properties count toward a weighted property budget. Luck costs 0.2 per point; weapon damage costs one third; Faster Casting costs 10; Faster Cast Recovery costs five; spell damage, defence chance, hit chance, hit/stat bonuses cost two; regeneration costs five; other general attributes cost one. Positive weapon or armour special attributes cost one, skill bonuses cost two, and positive armour resistance bonuses cost one.
The added bonus must fit the tier’s score ceiling. When replacing a refinement, the old refinement’s weighted bonus is subtracted before checking the new bonus.
Replacement and confirmation#
An item holds one refinement. Replacing it removes the old bonus, applies the new bonus and consumes the full new cost. Choosing the identical recipe again is rejected without charging.
The confirmation rechecks the item, recipe and materials. If the item changed while the panel was open, select it again. If another system changed the stored refined attribute, further refinement is blocked for review.
Wearing refined equipment#
The wearer must meet the equipment-progression tier matching the refinement. Being able to craft a refinement does not waive these wearing requirements.
| Refinement tier | Adventurer level | Licensed maximum | Active play | Age since first play |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | 15 | D35 | 8 hours | No additional days |
| 2 | 30 | D65 | 30 hours | No additional days |
| 3 | 45 | D95 | 60 hours | 14 days |
Availability#
The discovery, confirmation and application paths are implemented in source. This audit did not test a live recipe drop, trade, refinement or equipment use.
