Crafting with the right material
From UO:PvE Wiki
Recipe requirements, material selection and the two crafting interfaces in the code.

Material skill and recipe skill#
Choosing an expanded material adds a base-skill requirement in the craft’s main skill. This is separate from the recipe’s normal success chance and any other skills or ingredients. Having rare ingots or logs does not bypass those checks.
Blacksmithing registers the expanded metals. Carpentry and Bowcraft/Fletching register the expanded woods. Use the material selector for the craft and check the required recipe ingredients before making the item.
Which crafting interface applies?#
The source contains both the standard crafting gump and an optional T2A-style menu flow. In the inspected configuration, no t 2aCraftMenus override is present. The default follows the server expansion identifier; with identifier 11 (Endless Journey), the standard crafting gump is selected.
The client UOTD feature flag is not the same thing as the server’s Core.UOTD check. Older notes describing T2A menus as the current default should be checked against the actual running configuration.
