Effects and formulas#

  • Animates an eligible nonplayer corpse after a 2-second effect delay. Requires at least 100 corpse-owner Fame; rejects previously animated corpses, summoned or bonded creatures and undead remains.
  • Maximum 3 animated creatures; each consumes 1 follower slot. An animate loses 1 hit every 1.65 seconds; the underlying summon has a one-day expiry.
  • Selection power is A = trunc(30 × Necromancy) + trunc(70 × Spirit Speak), then clamp((A integer-divided by 10) × 18, 0, corpse-owner Fame). The corpse family and the highest affordable threshold select the creature.
  • Spider/insect family produces Mound of Maggots. Horse family produces Skeletal Mount below 10000 power or Hell Steed at 10000. Elemental family produces Wraith below 5000 or Wailing Banshee at 5000.
  • Dragon-family thresholds are 0 Patchwork Skeleton; 1000 Skeletal Mage/Bone Magi; 2000 Mummy; 3000 Skeletal Knight/Bone Knight; 5000 Lich; 10000 Flesh Golem; 18000 Skeletal Dragon. Other eligible corpses use the same ladder except 18000 produces Lich Lord. Animated Skeletal Dragons lose 50% Strength and maximum hits.

Notes#

  • Magery–Necromancy school conflict can reduce the effects identified as school-scaled. Listed mana and cast delay are base values; equipment and casting rules modify actual costs and timing.
